How Faith Communities Can Respond to Homelessness

The teachings of our three Abrahamic religions clearly command us to feed the poor and welcome the stranger. This session will provide concrete actions that congregations can take based on teachings of the Quran, Tenakh and Bible in an interfaith manner.

Racial disparities and the Twin Cities Homeless population

The Twin Cities has some of the worst racial disparities in the country including health care, education, employment, income, housing and incarceration. All of these issues have lead to great disparities in our homeless communities. We will discuss the multiple layers that have created these disparities and what policies and actions we can take to alleviate them.

Presented by: Deborah Moses
